Bless his little heart, this is his "cheese" face when I get the camera out! So cute. This is ketchup by the way all over his face from lunch the other day. Ketchup we have learned is one of Jake's favorite foods. On this particular day he was having a cut-up hamburger and dipping it in the ketchup. I think he dipped his face in the ketchup as well!

This kid has no fear. We were not sure how he would react to Elmo squirting water everywhere but he loved it! He's been asking for Elmo outside ever since Sunday! He would run real close and then run away from it! So funny!

I've been pretty impressed with Jake's curiosity with new food. He pretty much wants to try anything that is on your plate. Here he is eating a cheese quesadilla and dipping in sour cream! He really likes to "dip" things. He's so cool!

Daisy getting a special treat the other night after dinner. We thought it was funny and she seemed to enjoy it until a few hours later when she threw up all over the bathroom floor. Needless to day that is Daisy's last helping of corn!

the elmo obsession continues...

In case you haven't heard...Elmo mania has hit our house. Every time we are in the store and see an "Elmo" item Jake goes crazy. Our neighborhood had a big yardsale last Saturday and Jake hit the motherload! We spent $1.50 and Jake got 3 Elmo items that he just loves! An Elmo workbench that sings and teachs about tools, an Elmo sprinkler which we are going to try out this afternoon....pictures will come of that adventure! Also a sweet little stuffed Elmo that our neighbor just gave to Jake. He gives him kisses and sleeps with him at night. Jake can spot Elmo a mile away and saw the toolbench way before Mike or I did...all I saw was a hand shoot out of the stroller pointing and shouting E-L-O! E-L-O!

We are an official Elmo loving household now as Elmo's presence has crept into each room.

Gammy had a surprise for me a couple of weeks ago! My very own John Deere! Now I can be just like G-Daddy! I can't wait to move to the country!

Ohio was super fun! For some reason at Mommom and Papa's house all the chairs are really low so I can get up on them....I felt like big stuff! They had many new things to play with and I enjoyed entertaining everyone! It is my specialty!

Trip to farm in Ohio

Sorry for the delay in posting...we've been busy lately with getting the house on the markey and traveling to Ohio to see some of Mike's family. While in Ohio over Mother's Day weekend, Jake got to experience his first farm! We went to visit Michael's aunt & uncle and Jake got to sit on his first horse and watch chickens! He just laughed and laughed at those chickens! He got to see his cousin Emma who is 6 months older than Jake. She was showing him the ropes of the farm and telling him how to feed the chickens. He loved sitting up on the big tractor too!

The last picture is Jake sitting on the stairs of Walt & Linda's house....beautiful wood all around. What you can't tell from this picture is that Walt is an avid hunter and his "collection" (I'm not sure exactly what word to use for a bunch of dead stuffed animals) is displayed in their family room. Well Jake was so funny.....he kept going up to the wolves on the floor and barking at them like dogs. He also kept putting his fingers in their mouths and staring at them wondering why they weren't moving! So funny to see the curious look on his sweet little face. More Ohio pics to come...
