9 Months old!

Jake turned 9 months old on Saturday. He is growing up so fast! He went for a check-up yesterday and he weighs 22 lbs 3oz. The doctor said he's the size of a 12 month old and told him he has a future as a football star!

Jake loves bath time. He and Daddy love to splash and he just laughs and cackles when he gets Daddy wet! This is the captain of his fishing boat that he's chewing on!

Wisdom from a duck!

Jake loves singing animals! He listens to them, dances with them, and tackles them! They will get his attention faster than anything else and he just laughs and laughs when you turn them on. He is very impressed with himself when he accidently turns one on by himself! :)

Peek-a-boo!

Here I come! I am pulling up on everything these days and getting really good at it. The only problem comes in when I choose things that are not that sturdy. I am big stuff and I know it!

I'm cute!

Yep...I am officially cute!

I like to have very little clothes on. I am not going to like wearing socks and long pants all the time now since it's getting cooler outside.

I love Ride-A-Horsey with Gammy!

This week has been really fun! I got to hang out with my great-grandparents, Mamaw & Papa and I got to see my Gammy and G-Daddy a lot this week too! I love playing at their house!

My teeth hurt!

My teeth are hurting today. I've been having trouble taking naps and didn't sleep that well last night either. I like to chew on my teethers (and anything else I can get my hands on) to make my gums feel better! I already have 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom so we'll see where the next ones pop out!

In the crib...

This is Jake getting up from a nap. We are taking 2 naps a day now. One in the morning and one after lunch. Lately he plays and/or cries in his crib for at least 30 minutes before going to sleep but normally about an hour. He has a blankie, a paci, a bear, a couple of loveys, and a soft book or two. Usually he either sits down and reads a book or hits the paci against the rails. Most of the time though he stands up like this a either talks, looks around, or cries to be released from the crib.

Here I come! Ready or not! I am crawling everywhere now! Mommy is having a hard time keeping up with me! I love to discover new things all over the house. Like lamp cords, the oven door, cabinets, and anything of Daisy's including her cage!

First real crawl!

This is Jake's first real crawling day on August 22nd and he goes straight for the dog bowls!

Jake was excited for the first Hokie football game! He was learning how to hike the ball! Dad was teaching him all about football!

On The Move

This is our first post on the new blog. Jake wanted his family to be able to keep track of his day to day adventures. So we've set out to create a place where Jake can be broadcasted across the country from Florida with Aunt B & uncle Mike to Lousiana with Mmie & Poppins, all the way up to Ohio for the aunts, uncles, and great-grandparents and right here for the locals as well!

Jake is crawling like crazy. It's hard to beleive that he's only been moving for a couple of weeks but he is fast. He just discovered his gate yesterday!

We will try to post as often as we can! We love you all and wish we could see you more often!
