Jake has been loving his matchbox cars lately and LOVES to put them in the storage case that Gammy found for him! He loves to pull it around and get them in and out! He can even say "Vroom".

We had a wonderful visit in Ohio with Mike's family! Jake loves all the attention from grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins, and aunts & uncles!

watching fireworks

We were at Smith Mountain Lake this year again for 4th of July and got to watch fireworks over the water. It really it pretty! I didn't get many good pics of the fireworks but I thought that the last one here was kinda cool. Jake really liked them until he fell asleep about 2 minutes after I took their picture. They didn't start the fireworks til 10pm so he was a trooper!

the sweet boy...

Jake is at such a fun age! He is certainly enjoying life. He loves to be outdoors playing and often walks around the house saying "ouside" repeatedly. He says many words now and can tell you what sounds that a cow, dog, and duck make. He's melting our hearts saying "mum" & "dad" and then pucking up for a big kiss! When we were at the lake he pointed out every boat he saw (which were hundreds) and told me that each one was a boat! He is understanding so much like when we say it's time for a bath, he goes to the bathroom and pulls back the shower curtain to turn on the water! You ask him a question and he'll usually respond with a yes or no.

Here is a list of the words that he can say:

mom, dad, daisy, dog, woof-woof, moo, duck, quack, bubbles, boat, outside, upstairs, downstairs, juice, water, blocks, Otis, Chloe, Declan, yes, no, book, out, cheese, waffle, bath, cracker, and last but not least let's not forget Elmo!

I'm sure that I have left some out...it's hard to keep up because he says new stuff all the time!

"Say Cheese"

Whenever I get out the camera lately, Jake automatically puts on the "cheese" face without me asking for it. So funny and I'm sure he'll never remember doing this when he gets older!

The last one will be hard to top...I think it's the greatest cheese face ever!

We caught a fish!

Dad and I caught a fish and I even got to touch it! So cool! I love going to the lake!
