exploring outside....

We've been enjoying the nice fall like weather lately....it is much more comfortable to play outside! Jake loves to touch everything and rarely has time to stop what he is doing to pose for a picture.

I feel lately that I have a sippy cup obsession for Jake. Even though this number is large...it does not even respresent all the cups that have failed our standards and have ended up in the trash. The pumpkin represents all the additional holiday cups that we have in addition to the "everyday". For whatever reason, I'm always really excited to find a new cup and get fully engrossed in the promises of no leaking and ease of cleaning. Most every time, I am let down in some degree.

Is this normal?

What a nice relaxing time at Smith Mountain Lake for Labor Day! We needed a mini vacation and this hit the spot! Loving our family time together!

Climbing...

Jake is getting more adventuresome these days! He's beginning to like the climbing experience. He has had more fun the past 2 days with this box...climbing up and sliding down. He also loves his turtle sandbox that Gammy got for him.

I like to have fun! I love playing outside especially with my tractor or racing with Dad inside! I also love to get out Mom's pots and pans to cook dinner. I'm a big help. I get out the measuring cups to make sure I get the right amounts in! I'm a creative little guy who likes to stay busy busy busy!

If only we had video of this fun game! Jake was laughing so hard. He was opening and closing the screen and could still see and feel Grand-daddy! Who knew?!?!
